Through this series, I seek to analyze the predefined functions of familiar objects. I alter their forms to allow for more open reinterpretations of utility. Hypothetical forms are realized ambiguously; shapes replace forms and volumes in order to challenge logic and provoke new dialogues throughout the collection. Abstraction through materials and process allows me to generate a playful quality that can encourage viewers to consider possibilities for evolving utility.
These forms were made using 3d printed gypsum and porcelain, and sterling silver.
